Young Atlanticist Program
The Young Atlanticist Program is an initiative of the Atlantic Council of the United States, a non-partisan, non-profit foreign policy think tank chaired by Senator Chuck Hagel. The YA Program is dedicated to identifying and connecting the next generation of leaders in the Atlantic community, and beyond.
Diversity of Programming
Our current work focuses on: security issues; environmental and energy issues; the Middle East/North Africa; and much more. We seek to provide programming for young leaders across a diverse set of issues and geographic areas.
Professional Development Focus
The Young Atlanticist Program provides a platform through which our members can build their profile, and access unique professional development opportunities. We actively encourage our members to engage in professional collaboration, and help facilitate this whenever possible.
ELEEP
The Emerging Leaders in Environmental and Energy Policy Network (ELEEP) is a dynamic new online network that connects emerging leaders in the United States and Europe who work on or around these issues. ELEEP members engage in a sustained online dialogue and as well as in person study tours . MORE>
DOSTI NETWORK
The Dosti Network will connect young entrepreneurs in India, Pakistan, and the Diaspora communities in the United States and Europe. The network will work to identify cross border business synergies and will feature a series of meetings and a dynamic business plan competition. More information coming soon. MORE>
YA SUMMIT
The Young Atlanticist Program will be hosting two summits in 2012 that will explore issues surrounding NATO. This will include a meeting on the sidelines of the GLOBSEC Conference in Bratislava, Slovakia, and one on the sidelines of the NATO Summit in Chicago. Check back soon for more information. MORE>
NAPEO
The US-North Africa Partnership for Economic Opportunity (NAPEO) is part of the Partners for a New Beginning public/private partnership run by the Aspen Institute. NAPEO seeks to provide resources to young entrepreneurs in the Maghreb, and to connect them with peers and mentors in the United States. MORE>
YTYA
Now in its third year, the Young Turkey / Young America program, sponsored by the US State Department, is a bilateral exchange program that connects rising foreign policy leaders in the United States and Turkey.
